He received his B.Sc. degree in Information Systems (1999) at the Technion, staying away from Biology as much as he can. As often happens, a twist of fate led him to fall in love with Biology in his senior year and has pursued his interest in it ever since. He received an MSc in Bioinformatics (2002) from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a PhD in Biology (2007) from Harvard University. This was followed by postdoctoral studies in Systems Immunology at Stanford University, where he was a postdoc and Research Associate (2007-2011), with Prof. Mark Davis and Prof. Atul Butte.
Elina Starosvetsky, PhDPosition:Research Scientist & Lab Manager Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Elina graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Hebrew University. She did her PhD with Dr.Debbie Yablonski at the Faculty of Medicine , Technion. During the graduate studies she studied T-cell migration using advanced methods of molecular biology, immunology and genetics. Elina did a post doc in the NIH center for fertility research at UIUC with Prof. Milan Bagchi. During the post doc she became closely aquainted with mice and studied mechanisms governing mice fertility. Joined Shai Shen-Orr in his effort to revolutionize immunology in Jan. 2012.
Ksenya Kveler, BScPosition:MSc Student Ksenya received her B.Sc in Computer Science at the Technion in 1999. After 4 years in the area of network management systems, she joined the IBM Haifa Research Lab (2003). Since then Ksenya has been working in the fields of distributed systems, visual application development tools, service-oriented architecture and medical image management. For the last four years, she has been leading and involved in Information Privacy projects, researching and developing tools for application screen masking and long term privacy aware data preservation. Ksenya started M.Sc studies in 2011, making her first steps in the world of biology.
